WDV151 Intro to Web Design

This course introduces design principles and concepts as they relate to web and mobile media. Students will use Adobe Photoshop to complete  website prototypes , focusing on the main principles of design such as layout, color theory, typography, texture, volume and depth, and the use of imagery. Prerequisite: WDV 101, WDV 131, or instructor approval.

As a final project students create a complete website prototype for a client of their choice (real or fictitious). Students are to construct a mood board, color palette, and wireframes prior to constructing the prototype. Students must demonstrate the use of layout, color, texture or depth, use of imagery.
